A Fayette County man, known to call himself the Antichrist at times, agreed to plead guilty to engaging in a sex act with a minor and photographing other minors nude.
In exchange for his guilty plea, Earl R. Crumb Jr., 46, of 601 Magee St., in the German Township village of Ronco, will be sentenced to 3 1/2 to seven years in prison.
Crumb was calm and had no comments Monday as he agreed to accept the plea offer in front of Fayette County Judge Ralph Warman.
He came to the attention of police by writing a female inmate of the Muncy state prison that he wanted to eat the brains of teenage girls he was photographing nude.
State police raided his house in April and turned up a suitcase full of child pornography.
In 1997, Crumb was convicted in federal court for threatening two area women via the U.S. mail.
Crumb threatened to make sex slaves of the women and behead them unless they carefully followed a list of confusing demands.
"My name is Abannon, the son of Satan. <#201> (Your daughters) are pure, and in time they will meet my father Satan, and you will too. We will (behead) you and mount your head to my altar," Crumb wrote in one letter, complete with pentagrams and other satanic scrawlings.
In exchange for a guilty plea to three counts of conveying a threat via the U.S. mail, Crumb was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and three years' supervised release.
Because of his arrests earlier this year, Crumb was found to have violated his probation and was sentenced in May to an additional two years in federal prison by U.S. District Court Judge Alan N. Bloch.
Crumb is scheduled to enter the plea next week to charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual abuse of children, photography of obscene performances and corruption of minors.
In 1997, a defense psychologist, recommended Crumb be imprisoned in a mental hospital.
At that time, Dr. Robert M. Wettstein said Crumb complained that he was raised in an atmosphere of sexual abuse and satanic rituals. He also noted an extensive history of treatment for a variety of mental disorders.
Crumb also had piled up thousands of dollars in debts calling phone sex services, Wettstein said.
