ALEXANDRIA — Police believe the skeletal remains of a dog, possibly a German shepherd, found on Bog Road directly off Route 104 recently is connected with satanic activity taking place in that area.
"Basically I think its some sick individuals. I hope the dog was deceased before they did what they did to it," said Bristol police officer Henry Yip who is acting Alexandria police chief for three weeks.
The front legs of the dog were missing and the fur was found heavily matted into the ground about 20 feet from the skeleton.
Also discovered spray painted on rocks at the site was a swastika, the number 666, the phrase "A virgin will die on 10/13/01," and other obscene writings.
The local Police Department received a call concerning the writings some time ago, said Yip. On June 26, police received the report concerning the remains of the dog.
A dirt road, Bog Road has very few houses on it and often used as a short cut to the dump on Route 104, said Yip.
"We’ve received complaints about people dumping trash," he said, but added: "This is bothersome."
