Churches intending to establish in Angola have to apply for recognition from justice ministry through a letter signed by the religious leader residing in the national territory.
This is contained in the draft law on freedom of religion, cult and conscience elaborated by the national institute for religious affairs (INAR).
INAR also wants the churches to provide evidences of their existing members and doctrinal principles in a document which should also bring such detaails as the church name, general description of acts of cults, regulations and timetable as well as rules of discipline and organizational hierarchy.
Under the ministry of education and culture, INAR is responsible for the anthropological and sociological investigation of churches.
