The Church of Scientology has hired Horizon Media as its
global media partner, the agency said.
Horizon won the account following a review that included URI, the Beverly
Hills, Calif., incumbent, as well as KSL Media and Universal McCann, both in
Los Angeles, and Corinthian Media of New York.
Billings were undisclosed. The Los Angeles-based client spent less than $1
million on advertising last year, according to CMR.
The account will mainly be handled by Horizon's Los Angeles and Amsterdam
offices.
