Loudspeaker violation: five prayer leaders arrested

Pakistan - The local police arrested five prayer leaders for delivering speeches on loudspeakers here on Sunday. Reports said the government had imposed a ban on the use of loudspeakers except for Azan and sermons.

The police rounded up Molvi Abdul Rehman of Chak 49-JB, Molvi Habibur Rehman and Muneer Ahmed of Chak 120-JB, and Tanveer Ahmed and Muhammad Noaman of Nishatabad. All the arrested prayer leaders were sent to jail after registering separate cases against them.
