Polygamists Upset They Weren't Invited to Summit

Polygamists say they weren't represented in last month's Polygamy Summit in St. George.

The Utah attorney general originally called it an 'oversight'.

But the spokesman for the attorney general's office now says they did invite some polygamists who refused to come.

Two women who support plural marriage but are not from the polygamist communities that officials are targeting were invited.

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints attorney says he pointed out the polygamists' lack of representation from the communities of Colorado City or Hildale, Utah a day before the summit.

Officers and educators met at the summit to talk about helping women who flee from abusive polygamous homes and other crimes that reportedly take place in those communities
