Jos, Nigeria - The Stefanos Foundation has offered to link Christians arrested in connection with the crises in Plateau State with their families.Co-ordinator of the foundation, Mark Lipdo, who visited the detainees at the Jos Prison, said the gesture was to give support and hope to the over 157 Christian suspects. He said the foundation would have loved to support detainees of other faiths as well, but cannot do that due to lack of funds. He added that the foundation is working with the prison authorities to ensure that the detainees get justice.
"Don't give up. Our former President Olusegun Obasanjo was here and you know what God did for him. We want you to know that you have not been forgotten. Our aim is to help you to know that God exists even in this predicament," he said.
The group also presented items such as blankets, mats, detergents, slippers, bathing soaps, tooth brush and pastes to the detainees.
