Geneva - Since the beginning of the year, 104 people in Switzerland have come forward and said they were abused by officials in the Catholic church, information made public Wednesday showed.
According to the information, part of an ongoing investigation, most of the cases occurred in the German-speaking part of the country, and took place between 1950 and 1990. Nine reported cases of abuse occurred in the last two decades.
The majority of the alleged victims were between the ages of 12 and 16 at the time of the abuse, though some were younger, the ATS news agency reported.
