Jakarta, Indonesia - Followers of the Thariqot Nahsabandiyah Khalidiyah sect in Jombang, East Java, will observe Idul Adha on Saturday, a day after most Muslims across the country celebrate it.
Muatin, an official from the sect, said based on the sect’s calendar, Idul Adha would fall tomorrow.
“We will also slaughter cows and goats at Baitul Muttaqin mosque tomorrow,” Muatin told news portal tempointeraktif.com on Friday.
Last year, he added, the sect celebrated Idul Adha a day after the official date set by the governmant. (ewd)
