San Angelo, USA - A hearing on evidence seized at a polygamist group's West Texas ranch is over, but no decision has been made on whether the evidence will be admissible at trial.
Texas District Judge Barbara Walther heard a fourth day of testimony Saturday but gave attorneys on both sides time to submit their final arguments in writing.
A decision on the motion to suppress evidence is likely weeks away.
Attorneys for 10 men from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have asked Walther to bar evidence seized at the ranch because the first warrant was based on hoax phone calls to a domestic abuse hot line. The attorneys say investigators used the calls as a pretext to rummage through the Yearning For Zion Ranch.
Assistant Attorney General Eric Nichols says authorities believed the calls were real.
