Freetown, Sierra Leone - Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim congregation will on the 6th, 7th and 8th February 2009 converged in the Southern district town of Bo to mark this year's annual centenary.
According to the Amir of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, Saeed Rahman, the occasion is designed to bring together Muslims all over the country in order to reflect on the past year and plan for the future.
He said the convention is not an ordinary meeting but very significant to members of the Jamaat.
"The meeting will serve as a source of blessing from Allah. The Almighty Allah will give ample reward to sincere believers; the conference will help believers to acquire knowledge and faith. It will also create an opportunity for members to meet with other colleagues in the religion," he said.
The Amir noted that plans are now at advanced stage to ensure the conference is held at the Ahmadiyya Muslim secondary school in Bo.
He called his Muslim brothers and sisters to see it as a duty to attend the confab as issues pertaining to the mission shall be discussed.
