Chandigarh, India - The Punjab government Wednesday announced a ban on a book written by controversial sect chief Piara Singh Bhaniarewala, an official said.
The book titled 'Bhav Sagar Samunder Amar Bani Granth' authored by Bhaniarewala has been banned due to objectionable material that could hurt religious sentiments of Sikhs and Hindus, a Punjab government spokesman said Wednesday.
The sect chief, who lives at his campus at village Dhamana in Ropar district, 50 km from here, has been the target of terrorists for his anti-Sikh preachings.
