Oklahoma City, USA - A shooting on the city's northwest side has left a missionary worker from Mississippi dead, police said.

Jonathan Chandler, 26, was found about 12:30 a.m. Thursday in an apartment complex parking lot, police said.

He had been shot and was dead at the scene, according to investigators.

According to witnesses, Chandler was talking to a man in the parking lot when the man shot him and ran away.

Chandler was a missionary worker from Corinth, Miss., said Daniel Jones, a high school friend. Chandler graduated from Kossuth High School in 2000.

Jones said Chandler worked for the Boys and Girls Club and troubled youth.
