Kampala, Uganda - The Tabliq, a moslim sect in Uganda has accused the Chief of Military Intelligence of persecution. The sect was represented by 10 women at the Democratic Party press conference yesterday at City House.
The Tabliqs said they have been marginalised and subjected to torture at various instances by CMI officials while in detetion from as far back as 1995.
Ms Nuliat Katusiime, a resident of Kawempe Ttula, the group's representative said many members of their community especially the men had been killed, taken into custody and never returned and their whereabouts unknown.
