London, England - A doctor who allegedly told her patient she was being tormented by "black magic" is facing a disciplinary hearing.
Dr Joyce Pratt, who practises in London, is said to have told the woman she had something sinister moving inside her stomach.
She then allegedly offered to use her special powers to help the woman and told her to visit a priest at Westminster Cathedral.
The General Medical Council (GMC) Fitness to Practise panel in Manchester will also hear accusations that the GP told the patient her mother was a witch, and her husband and mother were trying to kill her.
The three-day tribunal will decide whether Dr Pratt's conduct was "irresponsible, unprofessional, intimidatory to her patient and liable to bring the profession into disrepute".
She is also accused of not co-operating with her employer and primary care trust when they investigated the claims.
