Mogadishu, Somalia - At least two people have been shot dead by the Islamic militias around Dhusomareb district in Somalia Gal-Gadud region during Cinema cracking down raids in the town.
The incident came after Islamic Courts militiamen in Dhusomareb ordered the closure of a Cinema in which people watched World Cup semifinal game last night between Germany and Italy, sources confirmed.
An eye witness on condition of anonymity reached by Shabelle Radio through the phone said that lookers on, most of them teenagers have been forced to get out of the Cinema while watching an interesting football game between Germany and Italy.
"They (Islamists) closed the Cinema and forced lookers on to go home but this angered every body making them stage a rally", he said
Sources confirmed that angry people marched in the streets to protest against such incidents.
Islamic militias trying to disperse demonstrators used gun fire and killed two people including Mohamed Hirsi Dhore, the owner of the closed Cinema and Sahro Indhoweyne, a young girl among protest participants, locals confirmed.
People in Dhusomareb expressed concerns over the incident by Islamists who practice tight rule in parts of Gal-Gadud region.
