London, Engladn - The power of prayer is just a phone call away for the stressed and needy at a small church in South Wales which has launched its own a dial-a-prayer hotline.
All people need to do is call the number and leave a request on the answering machine for a prayer to be said in the church.
"I will pick up the message and take it to the church and we will pray it through," Pastor Jim Davis of Elim Pentecostal Church in the little town of Caldicot told Reuters by telephone on Wednesday.
He said the aim was to give those who could not spare the time to go to church the opportunity to enlist the power of prayer at the push of a button.
The service is free. The only charge is for the phone call.
