Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia - ALL 45 followers of sect leader Ariffin Mohamad alias Ayah Pin will be represented by a lawyer before a hearing set for three days from Dec 18, this year.
The case was brought for a re-mention at the Syariah High Court here for the third time today.
However, judge Mohamad Abdullah turned down a request by the lawyer for all the accused, Wan Haidi Wan Jusoh of Ubaidullah Aziz and Co, that his name and that of his firm be blacked out by the media.
Wan Haidi made the request fearing the bad publicity that he and the firm he represented would get once hearing starts.
Mohamad said the media has their rights and cannot be stopped from doing their job or from publishing proceedings in their newspapers.
