Rev. guilty of violating church rules

Schenectady, USA - The Reformed Church in America has decided the fate of one of its Reverends.

Doctor Norman Kansfield was found guilty of three charges of violating the church during the annual Synod Conference held at Union College in Schenectady.

Kansfield is accused of presiding over the same-sex marriage of his daughter last year.

The Reformed Church in America has found on of its Reverends guilty of violating the church. The decision came during the church's annual Synod Conference which is being held at Union College in Schenectady.

Delegates said by doing that, the reverend violated the oath he took when installed as professor of theology.

This was the Reformed Church's first trial in more than 50 years.

Kansfield's supporters tell Capital News 9 that he was singled out, and that other reverends with the church have performed same-sex marriages in other states.
