Ottawa, Canada - A fire that caused about $100,000 in damage to a Buddhist temple in Ottawa Thursday morning was deliberately set, investigators say.
Ottawa firefighters and police were called to the Vietnamese Unified Buddhist temple on Somerset Street West just after 2 a.m.
The fire had started outside the building and then spread to the interior.
One person was inside at the time the flames broke out but was not injured.
Video surveillance tapes obtained from a nearby business showed a white male wearing a light-coloured baseball cap and a backpack near the temple moments before the fire broke out.
Police say they want to question the man if they can locate him.
