US envoy interfering in national affairs: Hafiz Hussain

Vice President of Muttahida Majalis Amal (MMA) Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has claimed that the US ambassador in Pakistan was actively engaged in activities against the movement for religion column in passports.

According to The News, he is suggesting political parties not to join the drive, he alleged in a press conference in Lahore. He demanded the government to declare the US envoy personae non gratae and driving him out of the country.

Hafiz Hussain said the movement will be continued and demos will be organized across the country on January 14. Qazi Hussain Ahmed will lead the demonstration in Islamabad, while Maulana Fazal-ur- Rehman in Peshawar, Liaquat Baloch in Lahore, Munawwar Hassan in Karachi and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed in Quetta.

MMA central leader said that after ARD meeting on January 12, anti-uniform movement will be announced.

Responding a question he said MMA was prepare to hold talks with all political parties on constitutional amendments passed from Bhutto period till today.
