Argentine Catholic Church officials have condemned one of their priests for publishing a book about his sexual exploits, news sources reported Friday.
La Nacion reports Archbishop Carlos Nanez said in a statement the book's tales of sexual conquests by 77-year-old Father Guillermo Mariani created "confusion and perplexity among people that hurts me deeply."
Mariani's book entitled "No Beating Around The Bush" reportedly gives details of his affairs with women, a violation of the Catholic priesthoods vow of celibacy.
Known as a clergymen whose views often conflict with Catholic dogma, Mariani said he also believed that priests will be allowed to wed within the next 50 years.
