The death toll of the people martyred in the Friday's Sialkot tragedy has risen to 31, while Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that the investigations related to the tragedy have been started.
Raja Basharat was addressing a press conference here. He said: "We are keeping terrorism and religious terrorism as the probable cause of the Sialkot tragedy in its investigations."
He said that it would be too early to implicate Al-Qaeda or any other group and hold them responsible for the tragedy.
Basharat said that he was thankful to the Sialkot citizens for their cooperation in such difficult circumstances.
"Those who were involved in the riots and torching incidents did not belong to a particular sect, but they were terrorist elements who wanted to destabilize the country", he said.
