Construction workers on Indonesia's troubled ilsand of Ambon have found a
bomb at a church under construction there.
The state newsagency Antara says workers found the bomb among a pile of bricks
at the Rehoboth Church in the Batu Gantung district of Ambon city.
They reported the finding to soldiers who arrived from a nearby post to secure
the area.
Earlier this month, two soldiers and four civilians were wounded when another
bomb exploded near the church.
Ambon is part of the Maluku islands, where thousands have died in Muslim-Christian
violence over the past three years.
Peace has largely returned to the area, but sporadic violence in Ambon and
other parts of the region continues despite a government-brokered peace deal
reached in February.
