Not only is North Korea a nuclear threat -- the U-S Commission on International Religious Freedom says it's also among the world's worst violators of the right to worship.
In its just-released annual report, the commission says North Koreans who are "found carrying Bibles in public or distributing religious literature, or engaging in unauthorized religious activities such as public religious expression and persuasion are arrested and imprisoned."
The report adds that Christians who won't renounce their faith "are often beaten and sometimes tortured to death."
Characterizing the communist state as a gangster regime, Commissioner Richard Land said, "North Korea is what a country would look like if it was run by John Gotti."
